Who We Are
Helensburgh AAC exists because of the hard work and dedication shown by its members. Formal roles, such as the Committee and Club’s Coaches, and informal roles, including Marshalls, are filled by volunteers who dedicate their spare time to ensure the Club, training sessions, races and social events all run smoothly. It is because of the Club’s members hard work that Helensburgh AAC runs an excellent 10K as part of the annual Polaroid Series in May and the annual Helensburgh Half Marathon in August.
The Committee run the Club on a day to day basis. Committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in October each year. Some committee members have specific roles and responsibilities through election and others add their expertise on a less formal basis. The Committee meets regularly to discuss issues and plan events.
Members can raise issues for the Committee to discuss by contacting an officer on Club nights or by email to one of the addresses listed on our Committee page. Members are also encouraged to take part in events organised by the Committee whether it be race meetings, social events, or marshalling at Club races.
Remember – the Club is only what it’s members put in – GET INVOLVED!
