Where & When
Where is Helensburgh AAC located?
Helensburgh AAC is based in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, about 25 miles west of Glasgow. Helensburgh AAC has a modern Clubhouse (opened in 2000), sited in the grounds of the old Hermitage Academy, on the eastern edge of Helensburgh, just off the A814. If you are arriving from Dumbarton/Cardross, the old academy is on the right-hand side of the dual carriageway about 1/4 mile after the new school. If arriving from Helensburgh town centre, travel along East Clyde Street (also on the A814) for about 1 mile and the old academy is on the left-hand side – the first-left after the County Hotel.
The Clubhouse is also very conveniently located for Craigendoran train station. Craigendoran is a 45 minute train ride from Glasgow Queen Steet train station.

When Do Helensburgh AAC Meet?
Helensburgh AAC meet in the Clubhouse for Club training sessions on a TUESDAY and THURSDAY evening at 7.30pm. For information regarding training groups, schedules and much more, please refer to our Training section.
For details on Junior training please click through to the Juniors section.
Members of Helensburgh AAC also get together for more social runs of varying distances at the weekend at pre-arranged locations in and around Helensburgh.
Track sessions are also arranged at Linwood Sports Centre. These sessions are organised to train different levels of athletes for particular events. Details of when these sessions will be held are posted on the Calendar and Forum pages of this site and on the Noticeboard in the Clubhouse.
A circuit training session for seniors (and secondary school age junior) members is also held during the winter on Monday evenings from 8-9pm in the Main Hall of the new Hermitage Academy.
