Admission Policy
Helensburgh AAC
Junior Section
Admission Policy
For potential junior members, that is anyone under 18 years, our admission policy is set out below.
Our present admission policy is as follows:-
Athletes already aged 9 and not yet 12, and with no previous experience of taking part in athletics events, will attend a Run, Jump and Throw Club run by Helensburgh AAC. Coaches will assess when athletes in the RJT club are ready to move on to the next level.
For others, and possibly some in the above age group, who already have experience of taking part in athletic events or who show a particularly high level of ability, entry to the club will start on one of our proposed Induction Nights. Full details of these have yet to be finalised.
Depending on the ability demonstrated on the Induction Night and on the judgement of the coaches, athletes will move either to Level Two or Level Three on the Development Pathway (see separate menu option).
